We are all familiar with the standard directions on any shampoo bottle that informs us to”rinse lather and repeat” as if we didn’t know…
However
this simple statement does have some merit when it comes to acne prevention.
washing your face frequently with an antimicrobial product ,will allow you to decrease the surface bacteria and cut down on the surface oils.which all contribute to decreasing and preventing acne breakouts .This is especially true for individuals who work-out frequently and suffer acne breakouts. You may want to consider showering before and after your work-out.
so go ahead and rinse lather and repeat with your acne face wash…

Within the last several years,a lot of promising studies have surfaced focusing on the multiple benefits of utilizing adult stem cells which can be derived from your own fat to regenerate new cells in your body including breast tissue as well as fat grafts for reconstructive purposes
What does this mean for acne scar sufferers? The tran
splanted fat can be reinjected into the skin to help regenerate ” new ” skin cells which will help to minimize those deep acne scars often referred to as ice pick scars
In a separate pre-clinical study, Cytori reported positive results demonstrating adipose-derived stem and regenerative cells improved the quality and long-term retention of a fat graft, representing a potential new approach in reconstructive surgery. The benefit of adipose-derived stem and regenerative cells was observed at six months and was retained through the end of the study at nine months.

Stubborn acne scars can be debilitating ,depressing and outright distasteful.. Many of us who have suffered for years with those unsitely acne scars may now have some promise .The future of facial rejuvenation and treatment of difficult acne scars may lie in harvesting your own fat cells and reinjecting them into your face.Fat cells contain adult stem stem cells which can differentiate into various tissue types including new skin cells . Currently, this process involves harvesting fat cells from the abdomen (similar to liposuction ) and then replacing the fat cells into the face .What is unique about these cells is that they can plump-up those depressed” ice pick” acne scars and contribute to new healthy skin growth. When this process is combined with on -going topical therapy that is directed to smoothing out the surface of the skin we find that patients will receive the best results

A diet rich in fish oils can be beneficial to your overall well being .By Promoting long term glucose control your
chances of not becoming a diabetic improve. Another benefit is better skin health .Fish oils help minimize the inflammatory response that can be associated with sudden acne breakouts.fish oils help decrease our bodies inflammatory response which may lead to multiple disease processes, including the aging of our skin and our internal organs. We recommend at least 3-4 servings of salmon per week .If you are not a big fish eater ,try fish oil supplements that include OMega-3 fatty acids.Omega-3 supplements can help boost our bodies immune response

Dr. Donda West, mother of rapper/producer Kanye West, has passed away at fifty-eight.
Dr. West died Saturday night in Los Angeles, said a family spokesman:
“The family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of grief,” the spokesman said
The cause of death has not been confirmed, however unconfirmed reports claim the college professor died following complications of a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. Dr. West’s publicist, Patricia Green, confirms her death was the direct result of “complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure.”
Donda West worked in higher education for thirty-one years, before leaving academia in 2004 to help manage her son’s career, according to a biography on the Kanye West Foundation’s Web site.
She began working at Chicago State University in 1980 and eventually chaired the school’s English department, according to the site. She started her teaching career in the early 1970s as an instructor at Brown College in Atlanta.
Our Hearts and prayers go out for Dr.West…..
Cosmetic Surgery should not be taken lightly. Often times we are faced with the desire to look better,But Our Health and well being must come first.Individuals that have any pre- existing conditions should have these issues addresed prior to proceeding with any elective procedure.Individuals over 45 need to have a comprehensive work-up that includes Ekg, Chest Xray, blood work and on occasion a cardiac stress test.In addition, any recent history of diabetes or smoking may be a RED Flag prior to proceeding. Always consult with Several non-affiliated Board Certified Plastic Surgeons prior to any procedure to get the best unbiased opinion

October 15, 2007—Beverly Hills, CA—The hit television show “Deal or No Deal” is full of high stakes and big prizes, regularly causing nervousness and disappointment to the contestants.
Yet for Tameka Jacobs, the tall beauty who totes briefcase No. 21, the show’s tension couldn’t compare with her stress from adult acne!
Now with the daily use of Refresh Acne Clear developed by star of Dr. 90210 and Beverly Hills Dermatologist, Dr. Susan Evans, Tameka has won the top prize against adult acne.
“‘It’s just not fair’, I thought when I would get a breakout,” said Jacobs. “I didn’t have this problem when I was 13, why am I dealing with it now.”
There are a few known facts about adult acne but, like teen acne, it typically starts with hormones. Whether it is stress, hormones and/or bad cosmetics, clogged pores and a build up of acne causing bacteria (micro organisms) cause redness and inflammation.
“Tameka faced a problem many adults are tackling with today,” said Dr. Evans. “Often, adults are embarrassed that they are still suffering with acne, but they should know that it can be treated effectively.”
In three easy steps, Refresh eliminates acne causing microorganisms from the skin surface to renew the skin, giving a beautiful, clear complexion. The Refresh acne clear program continuously clears the skin and produces long lasting results with natural extracts as well as medically proven ingredients to fight acne breakouts and blemishes.
“Standing under the hot lights and wearing stage makeup for hours on end damaged my skin and in turn, stressed me out,” remembers Jacobs. “I needed something easy to use and very effective.”
Starting with the Anti-Microbial Facial Cleanser, Refresh gently removes surface bacteria that cause acne. Used twice a day, it stops inflammation and redness while preparing the face for the Acne Clear Toner.
Following the cleanser is the Acne Clear Toner. A non-drying or irritating toner, it acts by exfoliating and clearing the clogged pores, it removes excess oil and improves blemishes caused by acne while renewing the skin.
The final step is the Acne Clear Treatment Lotion, which is an antibacterial agent that works by actually killing the micro bacteria that cause acne. It treats breakouts and prevents new ones form forming while increasing the effectiveness of the first two elements of the acne clear program. It also acts as a moisturizer and is undetectable underneath makeup.
“I just recently read on the show blogs that I have the skin of an angel,” glows Jacobs. “I tell anyone who asks about my skin, that Dr. Evans is my angel and that Refresh is the real deal when it comes to perfect skin!”
